Outreach

We have always placed a strong emphasis on maintaining a healthy work-life balance for our workforce. Our outreach activities help workers make the most of their downtime, providing ample opportunities for them to socialise and experience some of the biggest events in Qatar. Our roster of activities includes programmes organised by contractors at their accommodation sites, as well as larger community events that bring residents together from across the country.

Generation Amazing

We use the power of football to bring people together through our flagship corporate social responsibility programme. Generation Amazing aims to encourage understanding between different cultures and make the world a more inclusive place.

In 2016, Generation Amazing delivered a 10-week pilot project to our workers on behalf of the Workers' Welfare & Labour Rights team. This involved weekly training sessions based on various football for development educational modules to teach social skills, as well as encourage positive behavioural change among our workers.

As part of the programme, many of our workers had the opportunity to become ambassadors and community coaches. Their skills enable them to encourage social unity and healthy living among their peers, as well as to empower and educate their communities back home.

Workers' Cup

We launched the Workers' Cup in 2013 in partnership with the Qatar Stars League, to widen access to football for all sections of the society. The annual tournament is open to all workers in Qatar, allowing them to engage in the beautiful game through an action-packed football season. The tournament is growing in popularity, with up to 20 teams every year, including many players working on FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ projects.

A.R. Rahman Concert

Like the rest of the Indian expat community, our workers were ecstatic when legendary music composer, Oscar and Grammy award winner A.R. Rahman announced a concert in Doha in 2019. We arranged for 6,000 of our workers to attend one of the biggest concerts of the year at Khalifa International Stadium. Many of them were involved in the stadium's construction and proudly watched the packed 40,000-seat arena come alive.

FIFA Club World Cup 2019™

Over 2,000 of our workers were invited to the semi-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup 2019™ in Doha. It was an unforgettable experience for workers, seeing some of the world's best footballers live in action at stadiums they helped build.
